“Life is Like a Rubber Band that Stretches You to the Limit and Either You Snap or Bounce Back.”

Updated: Sep 11, 2019

The Bible clearly tells us that in this life we will have trials and tribulations.  It does not matter what your economic standing is, your ethnic background or even your level of education; life altering experiences do not discriminate.  What does make the difference is how you chose deal with adversity.   A long time ago I remember hearing a story about a man who had a piece of paper with a problem on it and he was complaining to an angel about it.  The angel listened patiently and then pointed to a large pile with pieces of paper that stretched from the floor to the ceiling.  Each piece of paper contained a problem and the angel told the man that he could go and toss his problem into the pile and choose another one.  After looking at the large pile the man decided keep his.   Some people are going through and have gone through experiences that are so horrific we could never imagine going through the same situation i.e. financial ruin, death of a loved one, broken dreams, broken relationships, homelessness, etc. and after experiencing these challenges, some people mentally collapsed and checked out and yet, some persevered and bounced back.   Job found himself in a place of despair; he lost everything and yet he did not sin against GOD.  In spite of his pain, Job persevered and he was blessed more in his latter days than in the beginning. (Job 1:22, 42:12) GOD gave him double for his trouble.   When trouble comes your way, how will you handle it?
