Mind Over Matter

Updated: Dec 29, 2021

In this life, we will have trials and tribulations. There’s no way around it, it comes with the territory of being a resident on planet earth and yet, after we go through, endure, and overcome these challenges to make it on the other side of the test, it is then where we can not only breathe deeply, but exhale and proclaim, “I’m Still Here!” One thing is for sure when we go through these experiences, we can all look back and say that we learned something from the experience. Life is not easy; it never has been, it never will be, and truthfully, I don’t think that it was ever meant to be.

Mental movement is key to growth, and sometimes we get stuck in the way we think and in the way in which we do things. When we get stuck in our mind, we can’t move backwards or forward; we’re just stuck in the same place mentally; and sadly, some people live in that same mental state for the rest of their life.

In order to become all that we were created to be, we must constantly grow in our mind because when we do, we begin to think differently, and when we think differently, we begin to look at life differently, and when we look at life differently, we see the world differently, and when we see the world differently, we become the change agents of the change we wish to see.

A thought is the seed that plants a call to action in the mind; a thought is what plants the seed of worry or the seed of faith. Isaiah 26:3 tells us, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusted in Thee.”

When you cast all of your cares upon the LORD, HE will give you peace of mind; and when you have peace of mind, that’s all that matters.
